Dry Needling
Dry Needling is an excellent medical treatment for treating pain and dysfunction caused by muscular and some nerve problems. It also works very well in treating muscular related headaches.
Dry Needling is based on Western medicine and research. It involves inserting a small needle into the muscle directly over the myofascial trigger point causing a myofascial release which reduces the pain and helps restore the inhibited muscle.
How does dry needling work?
- Promote local flow of blood to the injured area for healing.
- Block the neural pathway that causes pain.
- Endorphins are released to ease the pain and inhibit the pain/inflammatory cycle.
There is no extra cost for dry needling
