What to expect on your first visit
Before attending the clinic, you may be asked to fill out a registration form and questionnaire to help us get a clear idea of the issue you are coming in with.
On your first visit, we will spend time discussing your symptoms and concerns in depth, as well as any medical or injury history and most importantly, your goals. We will then do a thorough assessment of posture, as well as muscle strength, mobility and function.
If you require an internal vaginal examination, your Physiotherapist will first explain the process in full, the reason it may be required and what to expect. You can then decide if you are comfortable to proceed with this assessment, would rather do it in a follow up session or if you would like to limit it to external assessment only.
We will then discuss any findings and what they mean for you in detail. Depending on the issue itself and level of assessment required, you may need a follow up session to discuss an appropriate treatment plan.
